When there is a chance to make up what all we know and what all we dont know, we have to give it a go. I really got an opportunity to explore the possibilities of Open source platform. The IDEA is a community site. Its not just a blog, its not just an entertainment site, its not just an static advertisement forum. But its all about making things together from different places.

Well i am not talking about facebook. I am talking about the content management sites. Especially here, joomla. My favorite. I know for criticizers, its heavy, laggy, and boring. But when we compare the features the future lies with in that particular system they have been following for more than 13 years. Joomla has been used by many. But only got popular with the in issue of version 1.5. Thanks to the investment made by the geeks and coders all around the world to contribute to this project.

Well, in the beginning. i started using CMS in blogspot. Yes here itself. but i didnt knew the thing i used to post my articles is a CMS application. but on the course, i understood the future. Did spent some time on it. Well i was able to host couple of sites in joomla. Now this talk is about the particular site i did with Kottakkal Cable Vision, a local news channel - www.kottakkal.co.in  . Its a local news channels site just uploaded few days. I certainly have no idea how much they are going to exploit the facilities in it. Everything is opensource, free and samples. Ofcourse i did hide some of their links to native and home sites. There are some bugs and i hope no one will find it out before i make it up.

The features includes User Management, Blogs, Front end article submission . It has some bug on this free template design i used. So i am forced to use the native template for that article submission part, then rich text editors, Google gadgets, and oo i forgot about facebook and twitter gadgets. then kunena discussion forum, which had plenty of Bugs. Then Jforms ... some Joomla Vision Modules. there are still a lot. I cant remember. Ok I took 1 solid month to make it like this. Its having poor design and uses Malayalam Fonts kartika. I didnt give the download link to it. Will be given shortly. Chat box is there... Ok. now i have to find some application to connect users. Just like the modules they use in Jcow, and social engine. and then Youtube. RTMP players for live radio.

Now we have future plan to integrate a TV live feed using Flash Media server, with a help of 2Mbps Line and a Multicast router. And oooo i forgot to tell. since hostgator is providing unlimited email addres provision, i have configured a email server also. click email.kottakkal.co.in . Thing is that it is not on SSL and dont have any guarentee for lose of data. Google is providing same facility along with their webmail application for free. But it has limit to 7GB space and 49 email address. If you can spare a 50$.. you can have it for unlimited emails and webspace.

100th post

This a special post. Seems like its the 100th post on my blog. :) am so happy am still keeping it up. Before i really started blogging, i thought of posting some kinda non personal stuffs in here. But as days passed thing where getting too personal and emotional. I purposefully changed the blog something like a personal diary. So if i want to say something and there is no one to listen i can put it up here. If i want to talk express some ideology and ethics even that doesn't fit in the interest and concern of other people, i can put it here. Hoping that some one will find it worth reading.

The decisions we make.

" I miss her a lot. And tried to keep up the contacts. I thought she likes me. We used to call and chat  and ofcourse she talks like she care me a lot. This girl never showed any kind of dislike or hatred through any means or at any time. We were more than just friends, and my friends used to envy me. I thought i was in love and i was soooo happy. Days just passed and never knew that, to her i'm just a friend. Yes, just a friend. I did worry when she was forgetting me. Still not knowing its my fate or my mistake. Not knowing she is doing it purposefully or not. One day she will understand me that i cared her a lot, loved her a lot. but that day, would be ...way too far from this day and i would have been moved on.

Yes, I will move on. This is my life and I have the right to live it. Even though its hurts me a lot, I will forget you. I have to.

Real time Blogging.

After seeing the movie social network, a new concept came into my mind. I call this one as real time blogging. Its like blogging everything and anything that comes into your mind while you are working. opening a new webpage in the browser and typing all the stufffs u think about that while you are at the work. Sound like a cool idea. and ofcourse a cool thing for guy like me who always sit in front of the computer and who is always available on line.

I am not sure about this idea whether it will steel my working time or not. but i am sure that i can give a pause to my continuous straining. Anyway its taking a while to load these webpages in this 256 kps line that i am using right now. ok let me be more specific about this concept, in that film Social Network, Mark is hacking and steeling the pictures, while he was blogging at the same time. He is mentioning every step how he got into the network. this is really kinda geeky thing. but its something more like a creative article where people can read and experience the real time happening of scenario as it is. there is no editing, no grammer checks, no spell checks. Just as it is.

One of the major advantage i see is that, the narrator is live on what he is writing. He can be descriptive in situations where he thinks that a particular part need some additional explanations. He wont be loosing the overall idea of what he have done so for. This is one of the major problems seen in development areas. I mean in areas or sections where a product development is going on. This can be also used as a future reference and recap long working hours.

I'll be trying this concept for upcoming projects and works. and yeah i will be using time tags. That means each monologue that reported will be append with a time tag at their receptive time. My aim is nothing but to calculate how much time will be required to get things done. In whole from top to bottom or even in part by part.

Ok now i have been trying this blog, as i mentioned above. I was working on upgrading my company website. at the same time i am blogging. so far so good. But now i am facing one problem that since i was concentrated in writing the intro i lost the work flow in the work that i am currently doing now. and still the internet is too slow today. I am also trying to type things with out looking at the key board. Since the net is too slow i am getting enough time to blog now.
